Caddie Cat is a local-first golf shot tracking app. It is designed to help you track club distances, record shot details, manage rounds, and review your golf data.
Caddie Cat stores app data locally on your iPhone, including:
This data is used to provide app features such as distance recommendations, app-calculated averages, shot analysis, round summaries, and GPS distance auditing.
Caddie Cat does not require an account and does not send your golf data to the app developer.
If you enable location access, Caddie Cat uses your device location while the app is in use to:
Location-derived shot data is stored locally on your device as part of your shot and round history.
Caddie Cat uses Apple Maps features to display audit maps when you review or manually adjust GPS shot distance.
If you update your home base city, Caddie Cat may send that city lookup to Open-Meteo services to estimate city location and elevation. This is used only to help calculate altitude-based distance adjustments.
Caddie Cat may ask for notification permission to send local reminders about an active round, such as when a round may have been left open.
Caddie Cat uses Live Activities and Dynamic Island to keep an active round accessible and to help you track or prefill shot details while you play.
Caddie Cat does not use your data for advertising.
Caddie Cat does not track you across apps or websites.
Caddie Cat does not sell personal information.
Because Caddie Cat stores data locally, deleting the app from your iPhone deletes locally stored Caddie Cat data from that device.
